Norma Hightower, age 77, of Palestine, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at Cartmell Home for the Aged. Mrs. Hightower was born on June 11, 1939 in Grapeland, Texas to Mark Porter and Daney Weisinger. She worked for the Anderson County Sheriff's Department for many years before her retirement.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Hightower will be Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10 am in the Rhone Memorial Chapel. Bro. Ronnie Foster will officiate.
Memorial and Cremation services for Mrs. Hightower are under the direction of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas 75801.

I met Ms. Nikki, I called her, at Dr. Don Scarbrough’s clinic when he was in the hospital and she filled in to help. Then I found her at Cartmell Home for Aged (Boots and I visit twice a week). She was always glad to pet Boots. She allowed me to take her picture w/Boots. A very dear, kind lady I will miss.
