Stan Chaffin
October 26, 1953 ~ July 16, 2017
Billy Stanley Chaffin, age 63, of Channelview, Texas passed away on Sunday, the 16th day of July, 2017. Mr. Chaffin was born in Houston, Texas on the 26th day of December, 1953 to Billy Jack Chaffin and Geneva Graham. Stan was a retired Houston Firefighter where he worked for over 27 years. Stan enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
Stan is preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack Chaffin; wife, Sherri Hodges and sister, Connie Bowen.
Mr. Chaffin is survived by his mother, Geneva "Snookie" Chaffin of Palestine, Texas; daughters, Tammy Chaffin Brignoli of Ashburn, Virginia, Penny Chaffin Carter of Coldspring, Texas, Jennifer Chaffin of Houston, Texas; son, Billy Jack Chaffin of Houston, Texas; sisters, Kim Holliday and Mike of Palestine, Texas, Darla Edwards and Jesse of The Woodlands, Texas; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 19th day of July, 2017 in the parlor of Rhone Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Stan Chaffin will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Thursday, the 20th day of July, 2017 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel, where Bro. David Franklin will officiate. Interment will follow in Guiceland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Chaffin, Bret Carter, Shannon Bowen, Steve Bowen, Gregg Harris and Quinn Bowen.
In lieu of customary remembrances, and for those desiring, memorials can be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Houston Donor Development Office, 6977 Main St., Houston, TX 77030.
