Dear Martha and Marilyn,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was such a wonderful, loving person always helpful and there for others. Through the years I have had an opportunity to visit with her amd hear all about you and your families. We couldn’t have grown up without your Mom and all our First Baptist Mothers. Hugs, Marylyn

Edith was a delightful person and a great Christian lady. She was a close friend of my mother Zona.. I have fond memories of times visiting the Deerman home in my childhood days. My deepest sympathies to the Deerman family at this difficult time. Here is a link to read my 2011 interview with Edith: http://thompsonian.info/zona-edith-deerman.html
Edith was the most kind, caring and honest person I have known. I worked with her for 11 years and never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. She loved her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and lived her faith each and every day. It was my honor to work with and know Edith. May the love of Christ bring you peace and comfort in your time of grief.

Dear Marilyn, Martha and family,
Your mom was such a wonderful, amazing lady! She and mom mom were such good friends for so many years and worked together for so many of them. I have so many wonderful memories of those years. It seems every time I came to Palestine to visit mom and dad we would run into your mom at Kroger. Just a few weeks ago mom and I ran into her and had such a nice visit. She was loved and will be missed by many. You are all in our prayers. Love, Liz and Johnye
I loved Edith. I have known her for years. I had the privilege of giving her a little hug this past Monday at the Doctor’s clinic. I will cherish that hug. I also got to pick a few blueberries with her this past early summer. I will also cherish that moment. She will always have a special place in my heart. My heart goes out to the family, she was a very special lady. You were blessed to have her.

Dear Marilyn and Martha,
What a precious mother you had in Edith! She was so kind and thoughtful, and such a special servant to the Lord. I can still hear her gentle voice. I saw her last as she sat at her preschool Sunday table with the children at First Baptist Church, and thought how fortunate that those little ones could be taught by her! May God’s comfort and love be near to you at this time.
Marilyn, Martha & Family. Your mother was loved by so many people, & I know your hearts are broken but what comfort you all have knowing that she is rejoicing today. Edith was a special lady that we thought so much of. Sorry we were unable to attend her service but know that you all have been in our prayers. May God’s Grace continue to comfort.
Your Mom was such a sweet person and loved by so many. I enjoyed my 9 1/2 years at First National Bank with her and also getting to see her at Cartmell Home. Hold on to the memories. May God give you comfort during this time.
Dear Martha and Marilyn, what a precious mother you have and how blessed we all are to have been able to share her love and kindness all these years. There was never a time Edith didn’t have a smile on her sweet face and a kind gentle word to give. She is one of those souls who truly made this world a brighter place and she will be sorely missed but how comforting to know the separation is only temporary. We love you girls!
Everyone loved Mrs Deerman. May God Bless and comfort you Martha and Marilyn . We love you too. . Marilyn and Joe Ed
Martha and Marilyn: Just heard a few minutes ago about your sweet mom. So sorry I wasn’t there for the service. Some of my earliest memories are of the fun times at your house and the great food she cooked.. She will be greatly missed!
