Kenneth Wayne McClain, age 63, passed away peacefully on the 9th day of April 2020, at his home in Elkhart, Texas. He was born on the 24th day of March 1957 in Houston, Texas to parents Scotty Lee McClain and Geneva McMillian.

Kenneth was a truck driver for many years and travelled all over the United States. He was handy with tools and could build anything. Kenneth loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents Scotty and Geneva McClain and brother, Scotty McClain, Jr.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter Haylie McClain; son, Cole McClain; sisters, Joann Elkin, Roxanne Roth, Laura Allen, and Alisa McClain; brother, Robert Allen McClain; and one grandchild, Ziva McClain.

The family will gather for a private viewing at Rhone Funeral Home.

Due to the current pandemic health crisis, a celebration of life and memorial service is to be conducted at a later date.

Friends and family are welcome to leave condolences and/or share a memory of Mr. McClain on the tribute wall.

  4. He fought like hell because he loved his kids so much. Both his kids were his pride and joy. He shared all his funny little stores of what they did when they were little and also what they did in their teens & twenties.

But I’ll always remember the times we had and the many road trips I got to take with you. You always had a smile an was joking around is what I’ll miss the most.   10. It’s hard to believe that you are gone. I know you wanted to live long enough to watch Cole graduate. It was my hope that you would. I’m glad you aren’t in pain any longer. Rest easy I will take the watch from here. You will be missed

  11. Ken and I met on Facebook due to similar interests. I always appreciated him for who he was. Unfortunately we never got to fish together though we both wanted to. Though its a loss for us I know Ken is closer to God now and all the splendid glory, truth, light and life that is God’s. We were born to be with God and I will see you when its my time. My condolences to Kens family and all that knew him.
