Gary David Chambless, age 68, of Elkhart, is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior. Gary passed away on Saturday, the 3rd day of October 2020, in Sunnyvale, Texas. He was born on the 14th day of September 1952, in Alice, Texas to parents Raymon D. Chambless and Mary Burk Chambless.

Gary was a simple man who loved his family. He was a faithful Christian and a long-time member of Crockett Road Church of Christ. Gary spent a lot of his time doing what he loved, racing. He started out mud racing and later developed a passion for dirt track racing. Gary retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 31 years of service.
