  3. While I was a teenager driving home from school one day, I ran out of gas. This was at the time if you needed to call someone you had to find a phone booth and use coins. I found a booth and probably only had a small amount of money. I called my tia Frances and Arthur answered. He said he would come and help me. It was about 8 miles away and probably 20 minutes if the traffic was good. So I got in my car and waited. I waited and waited for a long time that seemed like an hour. It started to rain lightly while I waited. All of a sudden someone was knocking on my window. I was startled but it was my help, Arthur. I got out of my car and noticed he was there but his car was not. He was laughing and smiling. His car got a flat tire on the way and he had to walk. He didn’t want me to remain waiting there alone. So we had to eave my car and together we started walking back to his car and flat tire. It was probably about a mile walk. About half way there, the clouds burst open and it was raining buckets. We started running, and ran all the way to Country Club Blvd. When we jumped in his car, we were soaking wet; like we went swimming in our clothes. I waited in his car while he fixed his tire and got gas in a gas can for my little Chevy. I don’t know if I said thank you. I don’t think I ever repaid you. But thank you Arthur! I wish I could call you and remind you of it. I wish I could repay you for your kindness. Rest in peace cousin. You will be missed.

  4.    We cried when you passed away, we are still crying today.

Although we loved you dearly, we couldnt make you stay. On Jan 23, 2021 your heart stopped beating and soon you were at rest.

God broke our hearts, but with the love in our hearts you will walk with us forever….you will be missed.
