Misty Laine Palmer, of Palestine, Texas, passed away from the loving arms of her family into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior on Monday the 27th day of June 2022. She was 47 years of age when the Lord called her home after a brief battle with cancer. Mrs. Palmer was born in Palestine, Texas on the 16th day of September 1974 to parents Ricky Yorgensen and Lisa Carr Yorgensen.
Mrs. Palmer worked as a L.V.N. for eighteen years, a career that she loved. Helping people was her passion and as a nurse she was able to fulfill that role every day. Mrs. Palmer had many joys in life including fishing, hunting, playing bingo, and watching baseball, specifically the Texas Rangers. She truly enjoyed the time she was able to spend in the great outdoors and she always took advantage of the moments she was able to be present with her family and friends.
Mrs. Palmer was a dedicated Christian, member of Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and prepared for the day she would join her Savior in Heaven. Even though she is gone from this life, we will hold her close to our hearts until we see her again.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ricky and Lisa Yorgensen.
Mrs. Palmer was dearly loved by her family including her husband of seven years, Keith Palmer; daughters, Mackenzie McClelland, Haley Palmer, and Aspyn Palmer; sons, Colby Sustaita, and Jacob Mobley; brother, Robert Yorgensen and wife Misti; and grandchildren, Dianna Nicole Laine Sustaita, Cyzar Allen Sustaita, and one on the way. The first memory I have of Misty was before she was ever born. My sister Lisa was pregnant carrying Misty. Lisa called me and asked me to take her to Memorial Hospital, as her husband Rick had already left to go to work.
We arrived at the hospital and the Nurse checked Lisa out and called Dr. Thompson to let him know Lisa was in labor. It was by then about 6am. We waited for the Dr to arrive cause Lisa was dialating very fast. I kept going to door of hospital waiting for him. I was scared to death that he would not get there in time. Since Misty was in a hurry to arrive The Nurse had to deliver her. Misty came out screaming and kicking cause she came out feet first!!! Nurse pulled and pulled Misty to be welcomed by her
Daddy to hold her!! We rejoiced because everyone wanted a little girl, and we were happy and relieved the Delivery was Over. Misty’s Daddy and Mom were happy for a safe delivery and more happier that she was a pretty little baby girl. I was there to witness this beautiful creature come in to the World!!!
Keith so sorry for your loss I know you and Misty had a special bond, a special love for each other. I am so happy that Misty had finally found the Love of her Life. I was not there when Misty was taken to Heaven. I have found some comfort in knowing she passed away with you by her side. She loved you so much, God will bless you for your devotion to Misty.
Keith and Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. May beautiful memories of her precious soul take over in time.
We are so great full that Misty was a believer in Jesus although it doesnt take away from the pain of missing her we look forward to the day you get to be together again.
Our condolences and love, Tim and Lora Clancy
