Argylean "Honey" Hutcherson
February 27, 1937 ~ July 1, 2022
Argylean "Honey" Hutcherson, age 85, of Palestine, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, the 1st day of July 2022, and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Hutcherson was born on the 27th day of February 1937, in Humble, Texas, to parents Jess Willard Needham and Cloteel Moorehead McGee.
Honey was a loving wife and caring mother to her children in which she felt were her greatest roles in life. She was extremely talented in the kitchen, especially when it came to baking. She baked and decorated many wedding cakes for people through the years. Honey also enjoyed gardening and traveling the world.
Honey had an outgoing personality and a great sense of humor. She worked as a beautician before retiring and was a member of Long Lake Baptist Church and the Red Hatters of Montalba. Honey was truly a joy to be around and will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jess Needham and Cloteel McGee; first husband, Robert Paul Smith; second husband, Kenneth Hutcherson; and son, Paul Smith.
Honey is survived by her daughter Kimberly Hutcherson Gilbreath and husband Steve; sister, Janette Spoon; grandchildren, Dustin Paul, Jennifer Paul, Melissa Paulsen, Michael Foster, Kimberly Strempel, and Brett Smith. She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.
Honey will be cremated, and the family will celebrate her life at a later date.
