Liz and i grew up in Houston from elementary school through High School. We were very close friends in elementary school and spent many weekends together spending the night and occasionally going to church retreats. I have such great memories of our younger days! After high school we parted ways and i moved to another town. No cell phones back then to keep in touch. She found me through high school class information and reached out a couple of years back. We picked up talking like no time was lost over the years. This last summer she texted me and said she was going to be in a town thrift shopping at dollar general and thought it might be close to me. It was 20 minutes away!! Wow, needless to say i dashed over there and we spent at least 2 hours talking while she found her fabulous bargains . We hadn’t seen each other since 1979 and God brought us back together once again! I feel so fortunate to have seen my sweet friend from so long ago, my prayers are with her precious family!
