Elton Clifton Bentley, Jr. peacefully passed away in Tyler on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born in Sherman, Texas, on February 3, 1948. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Karen Bentley. After a long career, Mr. Bentley retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
In accordance with Mr. Bentley's wishes, his family honored his request for cremation without any formal services.

Clifton was a kind, sweet, special man,,and has left many with wonderful memories of him and his music,we used to sit around and listen to him play his guitar, and speak alot about John Lennon his # 1,, it’s been over 45 years , but his memory will always be with me,,
Rick & Clifton went to school together for 4-5 years. Rick lived on Walnut St. in Sherman, TX and Clif lived near him. They would walk to town to the movies. Sometimes another friend or two joined them.
Teresa M. said Clif was a member of a band with 2 of the Morino brothers plus one more, she didn’t remember who the 4th member was. She and her husband would go see them when they played and said they were really good. Especially the guitar playing.
