Patricia "Trish" Lyn Ott
August 17, 1954 ~ August 25, 2026
Patricia "Trish" Lyn Ott, age 72, of Neches, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, the 25th day of August 2026 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on the 17th day of August 1954, in Houston, Texas to parents Sidney Farrow and Peggy "June" Craig Farrow. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of so many.
Trish met the love of her life, Dale Ott, while they were in college, and together they recently celebrated 46 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, family, and countless cherished memories.
A proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, Trish earned her degree in education and went on to dedicate 30 years of her life to teaching 20 of those years at Neches. She loved her students and found great joy in helping them learn and grow. After her retirement from teaching, she continued serving others as a secretary at First Baptist Church Neches, where she had been a faithful member for more than 30 years.
Trish was faithful, kind, compassionate, and a friend to everyone she met. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved making people smile, never missed an opportunity to laugh, and enjoyed shopping especially with her sisters. Above all, Trish considered her family her greatest accomplishment. She treasured her children and grandchildren and took immense pride in each of them. Her love, wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support will remain a lasting part of their lives.
Trish is preceded in death by her father, Sidney Farrow.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Dale Ott; mother, June Farrow; daughter, Cortney Kuban and husband Robert; sons, Ryan and Brannon Ott; sisters, Cindy Hanson and husband Roy, Kendra Wexler and husband Greg; and brother, Mike Farrow and wife Teresa. She also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren, Chase Kuban, Axel Kuban, and Russell Ott, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Friends are invited to a visitation from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening on Friday, the 28th day of August 2026 at Rhone Funeral Home.
Funeral services to celebrate Trish's life will be conducted at four o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 29th day of August 2026, at First Baptist Church, Neches, Texas with Bro. David Dixon and Bro. Charles Grasty officiating the service. Interment will follow in Neches Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Mike Farrow, Ryan Ott, Brannon Ott, Robert Kuban, Greg Wexler, and Roy Hanson.

Trish was a positive influence on so many students. She was an outstanding math teacher. Trish shared her love of the Lord with those around her.
It was a joy and privilege to work with her at Neches Elementary School.
Heartfelt condolences to Dale, her daughter, sons and a multitude of friends who loved Trish.
This hurts! This precious lady loved us like her own. She taught us. She yelled at us. She laughed with us. She encouraged us. She watched and supported us. There is something special about a teacher that has a lasting impact and even more special when those teachers continue to love for decades outside of the classroom.
Trish and her family were among the first to welcome us to Neches so long ago. She was always kind, loving, and ready to go the extra mile to make sure someone felt loved and accepted. You will be missed. My condolences to your beautiful family.

She was the prime example of what a mother was. The many nights I stayed at her house with Cortney she treated me like I was one of her own. She never judged and was always willing to let me stay at her house or give me a ride when I needed it. Everyone dreams of a mom like her and her children were blessed to have her. She was one of the reasons I am the woman and mom I am today. You will be missed.
Our hearts go out to Trisha’s family. She was a kind and gentle soul that always warmed our hearts. She was a sister in Christ and will always remain in our hearts. Our prayers and thoughts go to brother Dale and the family. Mike and Sandra Whitworth.
I remember one time I was at the church. Trish was working in the office. I couldn’t find my glasses and Trish and I looked all over the place for them. We couldn’t find them. I went to get in my car and looked In the mirror. They were on top of my head. I went back in to tell Trish and we both laughed till we cried. I love you Trish and will miss you. I’ll see you when I get there. Prayers for peace and comfort for Dale and family.
Much love and prayers to the Ott family. Though I never got to experience Trish as my teacher, she was a great teacher for my brother. Mr Ott was my teacher for most of my time at Neches, for sports and science. My sympathy to him and his children. God give you comfort and peace
A winter storm had hit our community and knocked out everyone’s electricity. It was very icy everywhere. Carl and I had a fireplace/wood-burning stove. Trish and Dale came and stayed with us for a few nights. We had so much fun playing games, cooking on the stove and staying warm. I missed them so much when they went home. Trish and I met at JBC and then went on to SFA and lived together upstairs in the Baptist Student Center. I met Dale at SFA. Wonderful friends!
