Grief Support and Healing Hearts
Grief does not end when the service does. At Rhone Funeral Home, our care for your family continues for as long as you need it.
Losing someone you love is one of life’s hardest experiences, and healing takes time. At Rhone Funeral Home in Palestine, TX, we walk with families well beyond the funeral, offering ongoing grief support to help you find your footing again. You do not have to grieve alone, and you are always welcome to lean on us. Call (903) 729-5001 if you need someone to talk to.
The Healing Hearts Grief Support Group
Our Healing Hearts grief support group gives people a caring, understanding place to share their grief with others who truly understand. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month, and you are welcome whether your loss was recent or some time ago, and whether or not we served your family. Sometimes the greatest comfort comes from simply being among people who know what you are going through.
Grief Has No Timeline
There is no right way to grieve and no schedule for healing. Grief can come in waves, arriving when you least expect it, and it often looks different from one person to the next. Some days will feel lighter, others heavier, and all of it is a normal part of loving someone. Be patient and gentle with yourself, and let those who care about you help carry the weight.
Keeping Their Memory Close
Many people find comfort in small acts of remembrance. You might light a candle on a special date, write down favorite stories, look through photographs, keep a meaningful belonging close, or mark birthdays and anniversaries in a way that honors your loved one. There is no right way to remember, only what brings your heart a measure of peace.
When You Need More Support
Sometimes grief feels like more than you can carry on your own, and that is nothing to be ashamed of. If your sorrow feels overwhelming, or if it is hard to manage daily life, please consider reaching out to a doctor, a counselor, or a trusted person in your life. Asking for help is a sign of strength, and support is always available. We are glad to help you find resources in our community.
Remembering Together
Healing is also helped by remembering. Each year, we take part in Wreaths Across America, helping place wreaths to honor those we have lost, especially our veterans. Coming together to remember, as a community, reminds us that the people we love are never truly gone as long as we carry them with us.
