Anita L. Gibson
November 24, 1930 ~ January 23, 2022
Anita L. Gibson, age 91, of Palestine, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, the 23rd day of January 2022. She was born on the 24th day of November 1930 in Palestine, Texas to parents Leonard and Louise Moser Darneal.
Mrs. Gibson lived on her family farm and enjoyed working the land. She was a lifelong real estate and insurance agent at Gibson, Moseley Insurance. In her spare time, she loved to fish, and she also enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. When it came to the Baylor Bears, she was a faithful attendee to all the homecoming games. Mrs. Gibson was a Christian woman and a member of Dogwood Hills Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Louise Darneal; husband, James W. "Billie" Gibson, and sister, Mary Ann Moseley.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Steele and husband Eric of Ola, Arkansas; nephew, Andrew Moseley and wife MaryEllen of Palestine, Texas; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Anita Gibson is to be conducted at three o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 28th day of January 2022 at Roselawn Park in Palestine with Bro. Kevin Willmott officiating.

Ms.Anita, was a precious lady, whom I had the pleasure of attending church with, at Dogwood Hills Baptist church. Ms Anita was always thinking of others, especially the young children. Many times she would pick up or have pizzas delivered to the kids at church on Wednesday nights. She was a wonderful Christian woman with a huge loving and giving heart. I have many warm memories of her, I will treasure. Prayers lifted up for her family and friends
