Mr. Billy was a good man and a great dad. He always made you feel at home when I would come and stay as a kid. He had a loving heart and cared deeply for his family. My heart goes out to all Lisa James,Kim and Jason and y’alls families. I know he will be missed deeply.
While I only met Mr Meador a few times He was always very easy to be around. BUT knowing his son James let me know the TRUE measure this man. Cannot get to a man like James absent a GOOD FATHER. Adn at the end of the day there is NO greater measure of a man. My heart goes out to you James, you have certainly been there for us at the times we’ve needed and I certainly hope you will allow me to take a turn now. Our prayers are with you and all your sibliings, and children
I know I will not be strong enough to speak at Dad’s celebration of life so I guess this is the next best thing. I had 22 years of being Dad’s daughter-in-law. Let’s just say our relationship was a lot like all four seasons of the year.He taught he many things. So many memories with him. Too many to count. He loved our family gatherings. During the summer he loved to take us out in the boat to the river on a hot summer day and find the deepest part for all of us to jump in and cool off. He loved to take us fishing and then fry that fish up in the evenings and share with family and friends. In the fall it was campfires and stories of his younger adventures with Mom. He would talk of his brothers and sisters and his memories with them. He was a very intelligent man. He kept things running when they broke. He could be very intimidating because he was a strong and proud man. But if you really knew him he was very kind and very giving. He taught me a lot and I am grateful. I’m going to miss him more then I would have ever thought because he loved to drive me nuts most of the time. Now I will cherish that forever. I know he is flying high in Heaven no longer in pain from the past year of illness. His absence here on earth is going to be hard fore and my family but we will try to make him proud by following what he has taught us through the rest of our life’s journey. Love you Pop’s till we meet again.
Thank you for your kind words big brother. We love you!
