  2. Shelli and family. I am so sorry for your great loss. I loved Gary and being y’all neighbor for a long time. My prayers are with you all. I will not be able to attend due to We all have Covid. If y’all need anything please give me a call. Love you

  3. I HAD THE HONOR OF MEETING AND GETTING TO KNOW MR. RICHARDS. HE AND HIS WIFE SHELLI WERE DRIVERS FOR US AT ELLIOTT DODGE. IT WAS A SHOCK WHEN I HEARD HE HAD PASSED AWAY. YOUR FAMILY IS IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, HE WILL BE MISSED, BUT WE WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN.

  4. I met Gary while he was climbing the ladder at our Safeway grocery store in Brownwood and his boss, Mr. Turnbull, was one of my kindergarten dads. I loved shopping there and it gave me a chance to see my brother in law. He was always busy in the many facets of the grocery business. He had a great work ethic and willing to help others when there was a need…always with a smile. In his younger years, Gary had a super hot TRANS AM sports car and he let me use his car while he was out of town. I was stunned as much as he cared for that car and I loved every little moment I had driving it, taking equally good care of his prized possession! What I remember most are the many family gatherings at his parent’s place out in the country where we played games, had picnics or a cook out and lots of talking. I’m not sure we solved any of the world’s problems but we all relished in being together as family. I also remember how proud he was of his children as they married their beloveds and their accomplishments in life. He loved Shelly as she was always by his side and the laughter from these two would make your sides hurt. Time passed but has a way of changing things. Unexpectedly I got a phone call from Gary and Shelly as they passed through Waco on their way to Brownwood. I was over joyed to hear their voices and all of a sudden it was like old times. Loved and thought about but never forgotten. My only regret is we never got back together but I do rejoice that he was in my life for a while and that His Savior is my Savior and we will see each other again.
