Kevin DeWayne Looney
May 22, 1995 ~ June 28, 2022
On Tuesday, the 28th day of June 2022, Kevin DeWayne Looney, of Jacksonville, Texas, passed away and joined the angels in Heaven at the age of 27. He is now with the Lord, where his body is made whole, free from the Leukemia that he endured the last few years of his life. Kevin was born in Galveston, Texas, on the 22nd day of May 1995, to parents Kenneth Looney and Gina Brewer Looney.
Kevin was an avid Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed video games and watching wrestling on television. Kevin had a humorous personality which always made him a delight to be around. He was a Christian and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Frankston. Although he had health issues his entire life, he fought hard and always kept a good outlook on life.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gina Brewer Looney.
Kevin leaves behind his parents, Kenneth and Laura Looney; grandparents, Glenda and Paul Hinojosa; sisters, Arielle Looney and Makalya Kennedy; uncle and aunt, Kevin and Kim Looney; numerous cousins, other family members, and friends. Our hearts are broken but our faith is in the Lord, knowing one day we will all reunite again.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening on Friday, the 1st day of July 2022 at Rhone Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Kevin Looney are to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 2nd day of July 2022 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. George Folmar officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Park.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jonah Ellison, Tucker Looney, Timmy Cross, Jimmy Cross, Adrian Rodriguez, Bo Tillman, and Dylan Coy.

I will always remember Kevin as the bright and funny young man on the state trip for academic UIL in current issues and events. He will be missed!
Kevin is a one of a kind person. Ive never met anyone as kind and genuine as Kevin. He will be greatly missed he was the homie.
From already being friends to being my roommate for a year, Kevin was practically family. When life got hard he stood by us and we stood by him. He was the definition of a true friend.
I had the pleasure to work with Kevin as Co workers and then transitioning into friends getting to know him as the wonderful young man he is full of life and joking an always laughing seeing him smile when I’d yelling Good morning Belinda or my crazy yelling an his face expressions he was a good caring genuine guy I was lucky to have met him and get to know him we will meet again in future rest easy an free of pain man we will miss you but I know you’ll be watching over everyone prayers go out to friends and family
Kevin was so un problematic. So sweet.
