So very sorry for your loss Sarah. May you find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and in heaven with your mama.
Constable Bennett was so nice to me and my family when my uncles (the Fincher Boys) and my parents (the Amason’s) passed. Also when my uncle’s house burned, he stayed with me while my Dad took Mom and Howard home and came back with the truck to get some of Howards things. Nobody knows how much comfort he gave me.

I managed the government apartments 15-20 years ago and I remember Larry bringing Santa Claus (my husband) on property in his police car, lights and sirens for our Christmas party for all our kids…..they all had little noses pressed up against Windows watching outside. So many special memories of things Larry did for that community!! Thoughts and prayers for the family…he was a special person!!

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of our great Constable Larry Bennett. My husband and I had worked with EMS for many years and it was a guarantee that if we were in the south part of Anderson County, we could look up and see him there. He would help us do anything we needed and provide safety for the crew as well. His kindness and compassion for everyone he met will be sorely missed. He was a true Texas lawman from his hat to his boots. I loved the mustache and guns with grips facing out. He reminded me of the old Texas Rangers of the Wild West. I will miss seeing him traveling the roads in his big red truck. He came to our house many times just to help my Mother in Law, Annie, to get her husband up from a tumble or just to check on her after he passed. She was very upset to hear of his passing. We will be part of the 12 mile procession on Saturday in respect of this fine lawman. Prayers for his family and until we meet again,…ride into the sunset old fella.
I know he will be there to greet us at the Gates when our time comes. God bless you sir for all you did, for your service to our country and for your genuine kindness. It will truly be missed by all.

Larry, Sir, we cannot tell you how much we miss you. You were always there for us. Until we meet again, my friend. Glad you are FREE of pain! We will see you soon!
Constable Bennett, I never met you but I have an ironic twist in life with you! I purchased a 1993 Ram Charger some years back. Recently I discovered some interesting information. First thing we have the same last name which I think is ironic. What I’ve discovered is that this vehicle was your patrol vehicle at one point. It still says Constable on back and faintly can see 801 badge number on sides. Next thing is your first name is same as my dad’s, Larry. I just want you to know, I ride in honor of you Sir. RIP!
