Funeral services for Lowell Andrew Welch, age 65, will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Frank McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Creek Cemetery.The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Forest Grove Baptist Church, 21762 Forest Grove Drive, Chandler, Texas.
Lowell Andrew Welch left this earth for his eternal home on March 11, 2017 at his home in Larue, Texas surrounded by his family. Mr. Welch was born on May 26, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas to Richard Henderson Welch and Theo Essie Lea Bearden. Mr. Welch was in the Army and faithfully served his country in the Vietnam War. He was also an avid gardener.
Mr. Welch is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Davidson and brothers, Richard C. Welch, Wayne Welch, and Terry Welch.
Lowell Welch is survived by his daughter, Melissa Welch of Larue, Texas; sons, Phillip Welch of Broadhead, Kentucky, Christopher Welch and Leigh of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Richard Welch and Amanda of Elkhart, Texas, Shane Andrew of Florida; sisters, Donna Loomis of La Grange, Texas, Paulette Ponder and Peck of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, Kozette Welch of La Grange, Texas; eighteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tristan Gross, Weston Gross, Austin Gross, Colton Gross, Terry Tennison and Matthew Hines. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Acker, Frank Grote, John Pyle, Joey Schoolcraft, and DeWayne Zavodny.
Funeral arrangements are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Hwy 19, Palestine, Texas.





I know that this is a difficult time for you all. I know that he is celebrating with all our loved ones that have gone on before but, I know that he will be greatly missed. He was an awesome brother to me and was so loved. I am so sorry that I cannot be there with you all at this time. Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all so much!
You will always be in our hearts. Your were always like a big brother to me. I will miss you very much. I wish I could be there with you all. You have all been and always will be family to me. My deepest sympathies for you all. This is truly a huge loss.
