  2. I am so sorry Collins and Cobb family for your loss. I am a distant cousin (my mother, Lillie Browm Parker was a cousin to Harvey’s parents. My family lived in Midway, Texas and we would visit Grapeland relatives often and that is when I first knew about Myrtice. Further acquaintance with her was at the Parker Memorial, then seeing her at Sam Houston S.T.College. My husband met Terry when they were in the National Guard together in Houston (he had been told by relatives that Terry was a member). Later, my family moved from the Houston area to Palestine and again I would see Myrtice. I always thought she had a sweet. quite aura about her and had missed seeing her at the memorial the last several years. May God sustain you during this sad time. Reba Parker Pryor

  5. It has been many years since Mrs. Cobb and I worked together in the laboratory. She was at the end of her career, and I was just getting my feet wet. I fondly look back at our days together, she taught me so much. She shared not only her knowledge and experiences, but a great work ethic. And, of course, she would bring her beautiful daylily blooms to brighten our lab. Mrs. Cobb was a woman of great faith, she loved her family and taking care of others. She will be missed.
