Phyllis Lorene Greer, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, the 14th day of July 2026. She was born on the 13th day of July 1946 in Beville, Texas, to L.B. Moore and Imogene L. Steen Moore.
Phyllis found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, and she loved spending her time quilting and sewing, creating gifts that will be treasured for years to come. She had a kind and giving heart and was always happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Above all else, she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her love, warmth, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. and Imogene Moore.
She leaves behind her loving spouse of 38 years, Mark Greer; her children, Robin Lorene Johnson and Brian Paul Bagwell; and her sister, Linda Hales. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kayla and Brandon Miller, Brandon and Katie Bagwell, Nathaniel Bagwell, Cody Harden, and Christopher Jay Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Kaceson Miller, Braelyn Miller, Emmalyn Bagwell, Tucker Bagwell, Everly Bagwell, Everleigh Bagwell, Leyton Jay Johnson, and Christopher Jayce Johnson, along with many other family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the 25th day of July 2026, in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Dan Manuel and Bob Hevar officiating.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers with Heart-to-Heart, especially Laura, Kaytlin, and Amanda, for their compassionate care. They also wish to express their sincere appreciation to Denise, Kelly, Kathy, and Terry Bell for their love, support, and devoted care.

Q: How did you meet Phyllis?
A: I meet her daughter and son when I was young! I use to go over and spend the night with Robin! Phyllis was always so beautiful with her stunning red hair! She was always dressed to a tee! We always knew when she was mad, we were fun teenagers that didn’t lesson very good! I got scared a few times when she was letting us have it for not following her rules! I had a lot of fun childhood memories with the family! My love and prayers are with you all!

Mom , you have taught me so many lessons in life! We have shared our feeling with each other! You taught me how to love unconditionally! You have always loved Brian and I and we always knew you loved us ! So many people say “Robin you look just like your mom” and i say Thank You with a smile! You were always a good mother you always carried yourself with grace and pride here at the end I didn’t understand some things but now I do ! Mom no matter what I knew your heart and know how you think . So I do understand so I want you to know I’m gonna be ok . I miss hearing you tell me that you love me ! I miss picking up the phone and being able to call you! Mom you were an amazing mother , friend , sister , aunt , mamaw and wife a loyal wife! There have been times I wished I could take your pain but you would never let that happen bc you were always a honest and loyal and like the man said a godly woman! And so proud to say I’m your daughter! Thank you for giving me your love as long as you were aloud to! You are Cj’s little stinker and he loves you more than anything in this universe you are our angel so watch over us from time to time never know what you might see!!
