I have many fond memories of taking art at both Nichols Jr High and then Lamar High School. Sandra Midgett was a wonderful teacher and always encouraged me to do my best. My deepest condolences on the loss of your mom, Kim and Kelly (I remember she always talked about your cherub cheeks!)
To the family of Ms. Midgett, please accept our condolences for the loss of your loved one. We know there are no words to express the grief you must feel. Please know that very soon those tears of grief will be replaced with tears of joy as you welcome back your loved one in the resurrection. We hope these words bring a measure of hope.ÂÂ
I am just finding this !!! – Mrs. Midgett was such an inspiration to me and gave me great support in my art classes at Lamer High School Class of 79. She encouraged me on all Media and to further my art education at UNT. I remember one field trip to a nearby college art class and we got to draw the figure alongside college students. She was so supportive. I did further my education and got my MFA and recall wishing she could see my work.
Please send my best regards to her family. Please know she meant a lot to me as an artist. Thank you Mrs Midgett!!!
